Abstract: The change of the structural and phase composition of the austenitic steel 12Cr18Ni10Ti is stud ied after nitriding in the plasma of a non-self-sustained low-pressure arc discharge at different temperatures. It is shown that, as a result of ion nitriding, it is possible to increase the microhardness and wear resistance of the investigated steel
