Abstract: Multilayer enamel-lacquer polymer coatings are under consideration. For such physical objects the statistical model which permits to identify the physical cause of appearance of more than one peak of the electric breakdown voltages distribution function is constructed. Such an effect is connected with the fact that no more than one defect in cross section of each coating layer may appear to occur
