Abstract: Found that the forms of G. orientalis that survive when grown together in competition with cereals can pose an invasive threat. At the same time, individuals of G. orientalis may have different environmental functions from the rest of the population, manifested in the zone of the rhizosphere. It is suggested that the offspring of these forms can be competitive with native species, even in the arid South of Russia
