Abstract: The article presents the author's analysis of CIS constitutions. Typical constitutive formats relating to the territory in the focus group of states have been identified and characterized. The research attention is focused on the identification of the constitutional format concerning the territorial norms in the member states and CIS participants (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan)
