Abstract: Modern tourism is simulated under the influence of many factors which, as we know, define various directions of development of tourism. It features a variety of natural and recreational potential, as well as the degree of availability of factors of tourism development allow a specific region to form a tourism product and to promote it, both on the domestic and foreign markets. At the moment, in the Russian Federation, the special relevance of strategic management in tourism related to the fact that it is using the tools and techniques of strategic management allows effective management and development of the tourism industry in the country and its separate regions
